Our Bulletin 45LST Metal Fork Sensors are designed for small part detection on machines and conveyors. Multiple slot widths are available. These sensors feature adjustable sensitivity and selectable energized output in a rugged aluminum housing for industrial applications. Slot widths from 2…225 mm (0.08…8.86 in.) 10…30V DC operation Fast 30 μsec response time for selected models NPN/PNP output IP65 Housing Industrial aluminum housing
Fork sensors have a collimated laser beam with a very small diameter of 0.35 mm over the entire fork width. As a result, they’re capable of detecting extremely small parts down to a size of just 40 µm and even transparent objects at high speeds of up to 10 kHz. Fork sensors (slot sensors) are U and L-shaped through-beam object detecting sensors that have the transmitter and receiver built into the opposing “fork” arms of the sensor housing. Fork sensors offer advantages over standard through-beam sensors in certain applications.
The working principle of vibrating fork level sensor is based on vibrating a tuning fork sensor continuously at its natural frequency and detecting the change of frequency and amplitude in the presence of application media.
