Terminal blocks increase safety by grounding, isolating, and protecting the other components in the electrical circuit. Terminal blocks are available with finger-safe connections to prevent electrical shock. And, terminal blocks can also provide test points, which add even more safety to the circuit. All terminal blocks for control wiring shall have minimum continuous current capacity of 15A at rated voltage 380V. The minimum size of terminal blocks shall be 2.5mm sq. and be suitable for clamping wire between 0.1 mm sq. to 2.5mm sq

A terminal block is a component with an insulated frame that has the sole purpose of securing two or more wires together. – Terminal blocks are classified based on characteristics such as structure, device type, and termination options. – Terminal Block Connection methods include. IEC-style terminal blocks are typically all short PCB solder connections for wave soldering.

Barrier Strips also have short PCB solder connections, but also can have male quick connects, longer solder pins, hand wired for hand soldering, screw threads, solder turrets and more. Terminal blocks, also referred to as connection terminals, terminal connectors, or screw terminals, consist of a modular housing and insulated body that connects two or more wires together.
