A hole saw (also styled holesaw), also known as a hole cutter, is a saw blade of annular (ring) shape, whose annular kerf creates a hole in the workpiece without having to cut up the core material. It is used in a drill. A hole saw is a small cylindrical blade that can be mounted onto a drill, allowing holes to be cut accurately into a varied range of materials. Hole saws are generally mounted onto a drill via an arbor, which is designed to connect a hole saw to a drill chuck.

A hole saw or hole cutter is a specialist type of drill bit, designed to allow the user to bore out a circular hole of wider diameter than most standard bits would typically create. Hole saws are cylindrical cups with a serrated edge to cut various sizes of holes in a variety of materials. The serrated edge is designed to cut the hole; the other end is designed to be driven by an arbor or drill chuck.

Hole saws are efficient, precise and versatile. These provide the ability to cut various hole sizes in a variety of materials, including wood, plastic and soft sheet metal. Holesaws leave the core of the material intact as these work without needing to cut up the core of the workpiece.
