Our Bulletin 802B Precision Limit Switches use a die-cast housing with 1/2 NPT conduit entry. These switches are available with five unique head configurations and two mounting styles. Each head is available as standard or with a rubber boot for additional sealing.

Limit Switches are used in electrical control systems to sense position. They are actuated by the predetermined motion of a cam, machine component, or piece part. This mechanical motion is then converted to an electrical signal through the actuation of a set of contacts. Precision limit switches have a barrel design, similar to a very small (M5 x 0.5) proximity switch. These stainless steel, plunger actuation switches have a high degree of repeatable accuracy. The precision limit of an instrument is the limit beyond which the instrument can not measure the physical quantity precisely.

Precision refers to the amount of information that is conveyed by a number in terms of its digits; it shows the closeness of two or more measurements to each other. It is independent of accuracy. Precision is defined as follows: Precision = T P T P + F P. Note: A model that produces no false positives has a precision of 1.0. Let’s calculate precision for our ML model from the previous section that analyzes tumors: True Positives (TPs): 1.
