The Universal Standing Handle provides a safe way to assist a loved on to stand from a seated position. COMFORTABLE GRIP: The 9.5″ x 4.5″ ribbed plastic handle allows for a comfortable and secure grip for both caregiver and patient. A handle is used as an attachment to manipulate or grip an object or machinery, such as opening or closing a door. An example of Universal Design is the use of lever door handles in place of the standard round door knobs. Whereas door knobs can be difficult for people with limited use of their hands, lever handles can be used by everyone.

There are three main types of door handles: lever handles, pull handles and door knobs. A device handle is the name the operating system uses to identify a storage resource (known as an addressable unit or LUN), and the correct means (driver, system call) to access it. Device handles are sometimes known as OS handles. It’s big enough to have a handle on the bottle, hence the “handle of alcohol” name. A handle of liquor is a 1.75 L bottle of liquor. That means it too has 39 1.5-ounce shots in it.

These are horizontal and vertical. Door handles are mostly vertical and drawer handles are mostly horizontal. Pull Handles used on doors are usually used in offices and workplace as it provides a sophisticated look to the doors. As the name suggests, these handles are used on windows. While door knobs aren’t universal, they’re pretty standardized, depending on your specific needs. Knowing the backset measurement allows you to buy the correct replacement or drill the cross-bore in the right spot on the door.
